Name a smell that you're thankful for.
I waffled on this one. I went back and forth between coffee and my husband right after he shaves. Undoubtedly coffee has it's benefits, especially first thing in the morning but there are moments when it's not even my favorite smell let alone a smell I'm thankful for. The smell of my husband after he shaves is different. It's not staunch or alcoholly (no that alcoholly is even a word) it's just clean in a snazzy yet manly way.
After thirteen years my husband still asks me if he smells nice and the fact that he made certain I got more of the same shaving implements that I had ordered the first time (he has recently moved to using a safety razor and some of the less caustic chemicals for shaving) made me smile. I'm sure me making a fuss over him makes him want to continue this current path, and I'm glad. My husbands masculinity is always a pleasant reminder that I'm not alone and he will look after me like the big burly fella I know and love so much 🙂
Name a color that you're thankful for, and why??
I grew up across the country from most of my family and there was always one common bond, we were all born and raised Ohio State fans. When you're across the country, it's nice to have a bond 🙂
Name a book you're thankful that you read.
I'm not here to push books written by a Buddhist monks on anyone but this one made me think a little. If I'm having a bad day at work?? It's at work and it needs to stay there. It's okay for me to be angry when I'm angry but I just need to accept that I'm angry and then move on. When I'm home relaxing, I need to relax and enjoy every moment of it. I still struggle with being in the moment, given my inability to focus, but I'm learning 🙂
Name a movie you're thankful you FINALLY saw.
The Great Gatsby, but not because I liked it, because I have always had that book in my mind as the book they could never make a worthy movie of. If I hadn't read the book about five times I probably would have loved the movie. It was well made and the actors did a fabulous job, but I'm glad that it maintained my opinion of the untouchable story 🙂
Name something you're thankful you lost.
At the time it was the most stressful horrible time, but I'm glad I lost my old Cannon camera when some ridiculous punks stole my purse from my car. Why, you might ask??? It got me out of a rut, so to speak. I had wanted that camera for so long that I refused to discuss nothing “noncannon” with my husband or anyone else for that matter after I got it. After I was liberated of that camera I have found so many other awesome ways to take pictures and I even got a gopro for my birthday which motivates me to get out and do more in this lovely state I live in. It was a good thing in the end.
Awesome camera but it was time to explore new options 🙂
Took this one with my gopro 🙂
My new baby 🙂
My handy dandy Nikon Gorillapod combo 🙂
Part two to come after I'm further inspired 🙂
Name a bug you are thankful for. There has to be at least one bug you don’t want eradicated, so which one is it???
Mine is the tarantula. For two reasons. The first reason is they give me a break from the work day when I have to go and catch them and the second is they love to eat flies and Mosquitos, neither one of which I’m very fond of.
