Describe the last time you were moved to tears by something beautiful. Photographers, artists, poets: show us BEAUTY
I don't mean to sound bold but as I grow older I am actually getting to know myself pretty darn well. That being said I know, with some cetainty, three things about myself.
- I don't do well in the sun, and most likely from here on out I never will.
- I love Frank Sinatra, and his music can quite often bring me to tears.
- I love the sound of things blowing up. Fireworks, myth busters explosions, gun shots and apparently even forced air powered fountains.
Last week my family took a quick jaunt from Salt Lake City to Vegas. It was a quick but oh so welcome trip. Throughout most of the day in the Nevada heat I was confined to the inside for health reasons, and I was okay with that, but at night I was able to go outside and see things. We made our way up and down the Las Vegas strip like most tourists, but I can honestly say that I could have sat and watched the Bellagio fountains all night. The Elvis fountain show was awesome and so were most of the rest but when “Luck be a lady” by Frank Sinatra was put to exploding water I teared up a little.
While standing watching the fountains my iPhone was nice enough to remind me that it was still 101 degrees, but when the mist blew across the crowd at some of the higher points of the show 101 degrees felt so nice.
