My Mother's Day weekend started out like most weekends, except for an awesome tea cup and the tea to go with it. Knowing full well that I should lay off the coffee doesn't exactly help me lay off the coffee, but I am slowly trying to switch to tea (crossing my fingers for the end of summer). I love tea don't get me wrong. I love the smell and the flavor and everything about it, but coffee is definitely my crutch. That being said the adorable little Teavana gifts my family got me were amazing! Now I can actually make good tea and bring it with me when I run out the door five minutes late as is my normal routine.
Mother's day for me started on Saturday because if I believe anything I believe that celebrating me is pretty darn important. Not exactly, truth be told my husband sleeps in preparation for work all day on Sunday, and while I'm not his mother I want him involved when we celebrate the job he so lovingly gave me 😉 We headed to my new favorite restaurant (mostly because I am terrified to eat anywhere else) and shockingly they all loved it too.
Then we strolled up to City Creek Center (stopping at a few places in between). Then we strolled over to see the flowers by the temple. Did I mention is was only Saturday?? 🙂
Later in the day was pretty lazy, and it was a nice break.
Sunday morning my sixteen year old actually woke up before I did and made me breakfast. Taking into account that I am not the easiest person to cook for, this was pretty awesome. Then it was off to Memory Grove with the dogs for a pretty darn calming Sunday afternoon.
All in all the weekend long momebration was awesome 🙂
